Riverhead

Heatherwood Luxury Rentals
Tangram 3DS was engaged by Heatherwood to create a full suite of hyper-realistic renderings for a new luxury development in Riverhead, NY. The visuals were intended for internal review, investor presentations, marketing collateral, and a high-profile groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for May 30, 2025. After project completion, Tangram 3DS completed a series of Vignette renderings to highlight specific aspects of the design and their details.
  • Produce high-quality architectural renderings for Heatherwood’s new Riverhead multifamily development.
  • Support marketing initiatives ahead of the May 30 groundbreaking event.
  • Align visuals across architecture (EDI) and interior design (Conant Design Group) for consistent brand vision.
  • Deliver both standard and lifestyle versions (with and without people) for dual use in signage, presentations, and marketing.
The project’s primary goal was to produce renderings that would communicate the quality, design intent, and lifestyle experience of the Riverhead development. These visuals were designed to support pre-leasing efforts, enhance marketing initiatives leading up to the groundbreaking event, and provide a consistent representation of the architectural and interior design vision. Tangram delivered both lifestyle renderings with people and activity, as well as clean versions without people, allowing Heatherwood to use the visuals flexibly across digital, print, and on-site applications.
The project faced a compressed timeline with only a few weeks to deliver final visuals prior to the scheduled groundbreaking. Coordination between multiple stakeholders: Heatherwood, EDI, and Conant Design Group, required careful management to prevent versioning confusion or scope creep. The team also had to ensure that updates to materials, lighting, furniture, and finishes were applied consistently across numerous views without delay.
  • Tangram initiated early transparency around workflow changes and offered no-cost dual rendering options (“with” and “without” people) to maintain trust.
  • Clear division of labor: EDI handled architectural feedback, Conant Design Group managed interiors, and Heatherwood coordinated final approvals.
  • Weekly progress check-ins and real-time email support helped accelerate iteration cycles.
  • Dropbox used for consistent image version control and centralized access to rendering updates.
Tangram approached the project with a focus on transparency and efficiency. Early discussions outlined workflow changes, and Tangram offered no-cost dual rendering options to provide additional flexibility and build trust with the client. Responsibilities were clearly divided: EDI managed architectural feedback, Conant Design Group provided interior direction, and Heatherwood coordinated approvals. Weekly progress check-ins and real-time email support ensured rapid iteration, while centralized access to image versions through Dropbox maintained consistency and eliminated confusion.
“These are the best renderings I ever saw! What a beautifully warm sneak peek into our future space!”

Client Reception

The feedback process began with grayscale previews to establish the ideal viewpoints for the final color renderings. The first full-color draft was delivered on May 9, followed by a series of revisions through May 23. Interior adjustments included material swaps, repositioning artwork, and lounge layout refinements, while architectural updates focused on façade lighting, balcony railings, doors, trim, and outdoor furniture. By delivering final renderings well ahead of the groundbreaking, Tangram ensured that all stakeholders were fully aligned and satisfied with the visual representation of the development.
  • 9 Final Renderings (Exterior & Interior)
    • Views included lobby, lounge, club room, fitness space, rooftop terrace, two street perspectives, and a residential living / kitchen space.
  • All views delivered in two versions:
    • Lifestyle version: with people and activity to highlight the community aspects of the project
    • Clean version: without people, ideal for signage and flexible marketing use
  • Renderings scaled for use in large-format banners, digital ads, and internal presentations.
  • After project completion – Tangram created a series of 15 vignette renderings to highlight the details, materials, and intimate moments within the project.
The final deliverables included nine high-resolution renderings covering key spaces within the development, including the lobby, lounge, club room, fitness center, rooftop terrace, two street perspectives, and a residential living/kitchen space. Each view was provided in both lifestyle and clean versions, optimized for large-format banners, digital ads, and presentations. After the project’s completion, Tangram produced fifteen vignette renderings to capture design details, textures, and intimate lifestyle moments, providing Heatherwood with an extended library of assets for ongoing marketing needs.
“Wow, these look gorgeous!” – Christine Linsalato, Heatherwood “Looks amazing!” – Evan Yan, EDI “Great renderings! Appreciate you turning around the changes so fast!” – Sean Sallie, Heatherwood
