One Grand Central is one of my favorite projects I have been a part of.
The project pushed me out of my comfort zone, requiring me to produce a stunning photo-realistic rendering to help them envision what a renovated roof terrace would look like. The complex camera angles the client requested posed a challenge but also allowed me to think more artistically and infuse the images with a more dramatic feel. By tweaking the camera settings – focal length, width, and sunlight angles – I was able to achieve a vision the client was happy with.
Roughly 85% of the final rendering is 3D artwork and the other 15% was high-quality photography. Making sure everything lined up correctly was critical to the image’s success. One askew building would have thrown the whole image off balance.

This project pushed me to design a practical and cozy space within strict limits, inspired by the idea of space hotels. Despite these constraints, I found immense satisfaction in the creative freedom to explore materiality, experimenting with textures, colors, and forms to envision a space that balances functionality and comfort.
My inspiration came from the futuristic concept of "hotels in space," driven by incorporating science fiction elements into a reality where we can imagine living comfortably beyond Earth.
